FAQFrequently asked questions
About Swamp Watch, where to find us, and how we work.
What is Swamp Watch?
Swamp Watch is a political news brand that exposes corruption and hypocrisy in American politics. We follow the money, meaning who funds whom and what they got in return, and we publish the receipts with the source attached.
Where can I follow Swamp Watch?
Daily receipts are on X (@Swamp__Watch) and Threads (@swamp_watch). Short videos are on Facebook, Instagram (@swamp_watch), YouTube, and TikTok (@swamp.watch). Links to every account are at the bottom of each page.
How does Swamp Watch source its stories?
Every receipt pairs the money with the payoff and links to the source: a campaign finance filing, a financial disclosure, a vote record, a court document, or credited reporting from another outlet. Our full method is on the standards page.
How do I send Swamp Watch a tip?
Send us a direct message on X at @Swamp__Watch. Include links to any documents or filings. We do not have a tip form on this site.
How do I report an error?
Reply to the post or send a direct message on X. If we got something wrong, we correct it publicly on the platform where it ran and log it on our standards page.
Does Swamp Watch cover both parties?
We ask the same questions about every officeholder. Our coverage follows where the money and the records lead, and the receipts on this site are indexed by politician so you can see everything we have published about any one person.
What is The Closetocracy?
It is Swamp Watch's first long-form documentary, a look at three decades of Lindsey Graham's public record. It premieres October 22, 2026.
Does Swamp Watch ask for donations?
No. Swamp Watch does not run fundraising appeals.
