Swamp Watch / About
AboutWhat is Swamp Watch?
Swamp Watch is a political news brand that exposes corruption and hypocrisy in American politics. We follow the money and check the record: who funds whom, what they got in return, and whether politicians live by the rules they set for everyone else.

Mission
Politicians rarely announce who they work for. Their donors do it for them, in filings almost nobody reads. Swamp Watch reads them, then looks at what happened next.
Our bio says it in four words: exposing the political class. In practice that means one question, asked about every officeholder: who paid for this, what did they get, and do they live by the rules they set for everyone else?
A donation on its own is a data point. A donation followed by a pardon, a contract, or a tax break is a story.
What we publish
- Daily receipts on X and Threads. Each post pairs the money with the payoff, and the source follows in the first reply. We collect them on this site by politician and by topic.
- Short vertical videos on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. A host on camera walks through one story with the documents and headlines on screen.
- Documentaries. Long-form investigations, starting with The Closetocracy, premiering October 22, 2026, on The Lindsey Graham Files.
- Explainers on the rules behind the money, such as what a super PAC is and how financial disclosures work.

How we source
Every story has three parts: the money, the payoff, and the source. We work from primary records wherever they exist, including campaign finance filings, financial disclosures, legislative roll calls, congressional reports, and court documents. When a story builds on someone else's reporting, we link to it and credit it.
Our full method, our verification steps, and our corrections policy are on the standards page.
